Redskins Raise More Concerns Despite Win

The Washington Redskins' win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday certainly wasn't pretty.

After jumping out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and looking like the playoff contenders they were a year ago, the mighty Browns came roaring back to tie things at the half 17-17.

And then the third quarter wasn't much better than the second. In fact, it was almost worse. The Redskins couldn't tackle. The offense couldn't stay on the field. The Browns were in control and taking it to the defending conference champions all while doing it eight hours away from their home town.

Nationals Win, Clinch Home Field Advantage

Thanks to the team that eliminated them from the playoffs in their previous appearance, the Washington Nationals clinched home field advantage against the Los Angeles Dodges in the NLDS this coming week.

Winning 3-0, the San Francisco Giants handed the Nationals home games in three games of the five game set that will begin this coming Friday, October 7. Last time the Nationals had home field advantage in the NLDS, it was the Giants that eliminated Washington on their way to winning the World Series.

Barrett Breaks Record in Buckeyes' Win

Kickoff for the Ohio State's 58-0 win over Rutgers was at noon, but the Buckeyes didn't come out to play until about 12:15.

Something that has become all too common for Urban Meyer's squad, Ohio State came out flat for the opening kickoff and for a brief moment, the Scarlet Knights had some life. Driving for 10 plays, 32 yards and reaching their own 45-yard line, Rutgers certainly seemed more ready to play than the No. 2-ranked Buckeyes.
